I'm Donna. I am 32, married with 2 young boys (1 & 3) and I was shockingly diagnosed with Brain Cancer in January 17. After suffering a seizure on Christmas Eve.
I have a grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma in my right frontal lobe. I've been through surgery, where they removed a cyst and did a biopsy of the tumour. Then followed 30 sessions of radiation therapy where I lost majority of my hair and now, I am mid chemo treatment with round 5/12 just completed. Prognosis for this type of Cancer is not good, but I'm doing everything in my power to fight it and with events like this trying to raise more awareness for a very under funded disease. And hopefully one day our fundraising efforts will help to have found "the cure".
I would greatly appreciate anything you could donate to spur on all these walkers, runners and even little bubs being pushed in prams joining me on this fun run. All while raising funds & equally as important awareness, to help fight this disease.
From the bottom of my heart I thank you and I wish more than anything that no one else ever gets effected by this diagnosis. Sadly however I know this won't be the case with Brain Cancer killing more children and adults under 40 than any other disease.
Please help me and my fellow walkers/runners help Cure Brain Cancer by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot.
